Ensenada: Estero Beach Resort

Pop’s rear brake is locking up on him. Lucky for us, Keith was quick to diagnose the problem and we were off on a wild goose chase for a harley rear brake caliper. We stopped at a Costco (no different then the ones back home) and picked up some beer and margarita mix. About 5 stops and 4 hours later we were back at the pool, my dad sanding his brake pads square and filing his caliper flat. Lima is one Spanish word no one will soon forget. Keith gets kudos as his solution worked quite well. With the bike fixed it was time to get back to business: sitting pool side with a cold pacifico and cookies.

We invented our own “beast skills” which included climbing palm trees and the rock wall (aka hot-tub). Amie showed my sisters a thing or two, she pulled herself right up easy. I was feeling pretty good about accomplishing the feet from the deepest end, but so did Keith and Neil, they’re no slouches.

The restaurant was great, most notably the Mexican fondue with chorizo and fresh flour tortillas. Every bite brought us one step closer to a heart attack but all thought it was worth it.

Visiting with my folks and sisters is great. We haven’t all been together on a family trip for about 8 years.

This is How we spent most of the day...

This is how Dad spent his... :-)
