Sayulita, 0 km

We didn’t ride today, just stayed in the same campground on the beach to relax, recharge, do some laundry and check our emails. It was definitely a good call. We needed a little R&R before we hit the road again south. The day consisted of sitting on the beach, enjoying a cerveza, checking email, reading on the beach, chatting it up with the fellow campers and enjoying a few tacos for dinner. After today, I’m definitely ready to hit the road again, on to the next unknown destination. This town was great for the campsite and food options…but I’ve had enough of the cool surfer scene for now. The campsite is nice as far as location and cleanliness, although somehow every night there are a bunch of birds that fly into the palm trees above us and do a serious number on our tent. Yeah…of course it always seemed like our tent was hit more than any other. Another anooying factor for me is the mesquitos. The number of bites I got just at that location worried Mike to a point where he is putting me on Clorequin (Malaria medicine). I must have at least 10 bites, most of them in broad daylight.

Tomorrow? We don’t know…as far as we can get until we hit a nice little spot or run out of sunshine. I’m guessing somewhere between Acapulco and Puerta Vallarta.

The tent is 86 degrees; hot and humid again. Another hot night in the tent…at least we have the nice ocean waves in the background to keep us happy.

The best pollo asadero in Sayulita
